Thank you for representing First Sun EAP at a manager training. Below are some guidelines for how to make this event successful. If you have any questions at any time please contact us. We are happy to help.
Manager Training is important because it encourages managers to use the EAP as a management tool to help employees get back on track at work which increases their productivity and enhances the work environment.
Goals:
Make a personal connection with the folks organizing the orientation
Share information about the range of EAP services and how to access them
Share information about how to deal with performance problems early and refer the employee to the EAP
Listen to managers and supervisors
Encourage questions about EAP services
Materials: We will provide all the materials you need. They will either be delivered to the site or to you. They include:
Arrangements will be made ahead of time for what to do with the materials after the event.

Call and let us know about notable events, feedback or requests
How to get paid: Document your activity on a Network Provider Log and include the company name, the hours you spent, the date and the number of managers in attendance. There is no authorization number. Please note this as a "Manager Training" and who at First Sun asked you to do it. Mail or fax it to us so that we receive it no later than the 6th of the month.
Requests for services: It is not uncommon for employees or coordinators to make a connection with you and to request further services - personal counseling, another manager training, an employee orientation or benefits fair. If this happens, please indicate that we are delighted to assist and that services need to be coordinated through our corporate office by calling 800-968-8143. Then let us know about the request so we can follow up.
